Cooking With CeCe part deux
My last attempt at making spaghetti sauce didn't go so well, but this time? We have a winner!
I used the crock pot again, and we got three good days of spaghetti dinners. This time, it actually tasted good, and for two reasons: one, the super smart Maidink figured out that my missing ingredient was SUGAR! A little over half a cup for the whole batch made the whole thing taste just wonderful! And two, I didn't burn it as much this time!(hey, I'm new at this stuff, ok?)
so... you need proof that it was better this time?

Hee! It passed the dog test. I hope your family liked it as well.
S~It was pretty good! Cherry ate it, AND I had a friend over who ate some!
Congratulations! I've never managed to make a spaghetti sauce from scratch that was edible.
Glad the dogs aprroved it this time. I guess your crockpot cooking is improving:o)
Pink~Umm.. I wish I could say it was the second time.. it's more like the 3rd or 4th :(
Erin~REally? That makes me feel good!
Kim~It's gotta be!
Leigh~Haven't seen you online in FOREVER! You'll have to pass that recipe on to me! I WILL become a master of the crock pot!
OK, first, congrats on making a better gravy. However, I just have to say- as an Italian by marriage-NO SUGAR. I have a GREAT gravy recipe for you that will make you put your sugar away for good. I know that a lot of people put sugar in it, but it is because they are using the wrong kind of tomatoes and not enough other stuff. Please let me know if you would like to try it and I will send it to you. And if you still like yours better, I will try yours.
Kristina~I would love the recipe! I have to admit, I'd rather not use sugar, but it sure made all the difference this time!
