My First Time.

This week I watched "The Sound of Music" for the first time! I say "this week" 'cause it was a three day process! That movie is LONG.

Long and lovely!

I can't get the songs out of my head. My kid is even singing the tunes! (I think, though I can't be certain.)

Cherry and I danced in the living room during the ball room dance and sang and laughed together.

Then there was the "intemission". And besides the wedding, the rest of the movie is sort of depressing. I like to pretend that bad things didn't really happen. Armondo likes the second half better. Oh well, a little for the gals, a little for the guys.

Anyway, I'm sure we'll be buying that movie soon, as I'm sure it'll be a family favourite!

Oh yeah, and it only enforced my belief in the fact that Nannys are NOT a good idea! Bring them into the house, you're only asking for your husband to fall in love!

hehehe! It has to be one of my all time favorites. Every Boxing Day it comes on the local channel here and I make Chris go in the bedroom to watch TV so I can watch it and sing along with it. I love it. Especially the scene in the outside gazeebo "I am 16 going on 17"!!! It is a classic. The best is the goodbye song when the little girl doesn't want to go to bed! Just like Isabella.

I knew your childhood hadn't been fantastic but I had no idea you'd NEVER seen the Sound of Music. You poor poor poor thing. I thought it was a rite of passage for everyone.

So let's start at the very beginning...

But have you seen Oliver!? As far as I'm concerned *that* is the best musical of the '60s. Now I expect to get bombarded with hate mail by SOM devotees...

A lot of people want to murder me when I tell them I never saw that movie. Sucks that you left my ranks, even though I didn't know you were in them in the first place. Now I need to find people who have never seen ANY of the Star Wars movies.

It's one of the best movies ever. EVER! I love it. I can watch it over and over and over and over and over again.
