If I Disapear for a While...
It might be because we've been hit by another major weather front, and we've been left in the dark for hours on end...
OR
It might be because I'm off delivering a baby...
Last night the power went out due to a large windstorm. I don't know WHAT us southern coast British Columbians did to smite the Gods, but we sure are taking a beating this year!
So, Armondo cooked our dinner on the wood stove and we ate in candlelight last night. The power was out for over 11 hours.
And then...
I started getting contractions. In the dark. (Oooh, contractions by candlelight, sounds sort of.. romantic!) A bunch of them, 15 minutes apart. But they were mild and they stopped after a couple of hours. But it made us get our asses into gear. We got my hospital bag packed, and made some final arrangements with my wonderful friend L.B. who will be watching Cherry while we're at the hospital.
So, that's the heads up. I could have this baby soon. Maybe not for a couple of weeks... but my body is getting ready! And NONE of you guessed it would be born in December!

I hope you keep your electricity, so all can stay warm:o)
Ohhh, baby is getting ready! I hope all goes well and if we don't see you post for a little while we will assume she is making her entrance:o)
Kim~Luckily we have wood heat!
I thought I would have Zach early cause I was due Dec 31. Second baby and all I figured early. Wrong, Jan 8 I was induced. So I hope you get to be lucky and go early!
I would not be surprised at all if you had that little one anytime soon. You so looked ready to pop yesterday! I'm so excited for you!! Let me know if you're up for hospital visitors, and if you are put me on your "phone list"!!!
Powers been going out all day today...strange seen as there isn't any wind right now???
nothing worse heh than wondering if you are going to be in hospital christmas morning. I really do hope for your sake that you are home with baby way before then. Get hubby to leave an update if something happens.
Shandelle~I'm not sure if I want the baby early, but I DO know that I don't want to be having false labour for weeks! And, about Christmas, I don't really care if I'm in the hospital that day, except that I don't want to miss out on Christmas morning with Cherry! And yes, I'll get hubby to update if I'm in the hospital for more than a day.
Alisha~At this point, I'm hoping I won't be in the hospital for any extended period of time.
Oy! Yeah, that storm was a doozy. My brother is working on the clean up crew in Stanley Park, he says it's absolutely INSANE.
I didn't end up without power (I live in Vancovuer) but my parents were out for three days. Glad you had heat!
Fantastic pictures, by the way! I love black and white photography!
