The One Where I almost kill my kid for starving herself.

She won't eat.

The dogs are well fed though.

It's driving me crazy.

She cannot live off of a diet of cheddar cheese and milk.

Maybe she can, but I just don't think it's right.

She's so grumpy because she's hungry, but she won't eat to make herself feel better.

She keeps on asking for milk, but I'm refusing to give her any, thinking that she might eat.

She's winning.

It's going to be a long night.

Yep, you are in for it. One of my nieces will sit down and eat her meal. The other one takes a couple bites and is done. Of course 15 minutes later she is hungry again.

I'm sure she will balance out with time. Hopefully, you survive until then:o)

I just don't fight with Zoe when it comes to food anymore. She'll eat when she's hungry, and I let her (to a point) have what she wants. Over time she eats a healthy balanced diet. Kids are in 'control' kind of, of two things in their lives. What they eat, and when they sleep. I let her -again to a point - control both of these. Means she's more likely to listen when I do put my foot down...
But, do what works for you!! All i'm saying is, she WON'T starve herself...

I gave in. She got her milk. *sigh*

Ummm, what debambam said, ditto!

It's the age, kiddo. Cherry will get through the "I'll what I darn well want stage" soon enough. Dink ate nothing but spaghetti and drank Tang. And she's 3.5 now.

Cherry won't starve. You'll be borderline committable, but she won't starve.

Well, it's good to know she's normal!
